So last year I created my highlights for 2015, and I can't believe that the time has come around again and it's now time for my 2016 highlights!

A Winter Wonderland

Earlier this week my sister and I jumped in the car and traveled into London for a day of ice skating, food and festivities at Winter Wonderland.

The Ritz!

A little browse in Fortnum & Masons and admiring their beautiful Christmas decorations!

We booked up for the ice skating and also a look around the ice kingdom at -12 degrees it was so so cold!

A quick pit stop for some chocolate covered food and we were well re-fueled for some more exploring..

You can get tickets for Winter Wonderland here - but be quick,
it's only on until January 2nd! Xx

The Travel Diaries - The Maldives

28.12.16

So back in September William and I packed some bags up and jumped on a plane to the Maldives.

We have never been on a holiday quite so far away and quite so quiet.

We spent 10 days eating, sleeping, sunbathing and it was such an amazing time away!

Getting There

We booked our holiday through Virgin, and the travel included a flight to Sri Lanka, flight to Male and then a speedboat transfer to our island, which was Farukolhufushi Island and the resort was called Cinnamon Dhonveli

We chose to stay in an overwater bungalow as it was an experience that neither of us had ever experienced and was really well priced.

Food

All of our food was included in the package, comprising of 3 cooked meals a day and cocktails in between. There was so much food to choose from and the staff were just to friendly I was sad to say goodbye!

Activities

From the reception you can book a wide selection of activities to keep you busy during your stay.

On the Island there are pool tables, table tennis and books to keep you busy.

We decided on snorkelling with the turtles and also a trip to see the dolphins. This was such an amazing experience as I had never seen dolphins in the wild before and we chose to go on a private tour, so William and I had a boat to ourselves. We saw so many dolphins and a few different specices of them. They come up really close to the boat and you can hear them if you listen really carefully!

The island also put on a party every couple of nights at a different part of the island each time. We were lucky that on our first night on the island, they party was on our beach, and 10 dollars got you unlimited cocktails and all the cheesy 90's music that you could wish for! We even saw a proposal happen!

Lots of Mojito's and dancing on the beach leads to a very hungover William!

Beaches

I have never ever seen a beach as beautiful as this one. The sand is so soft and white, the water is so super clear and there are so many pretty fish to see. Even if I did get nibbled by one for getting too close to its reef home!

Weather

I worried a bit about the weather during our stay, as when I had been checking before had it had been showing as raining most days! But they weather turned out to be amazing, even if a little hot. We wore factor 50 and still managed to get burned. It rained a couple of times while we were there but they passed so quickly they were gone again as the island was so small. You could walk around the island in about 15-20 minutes, as we did most evenings!

I defiantly recommend visiting the Maldives. There are so many beautiful islands to choose from and really is such a beautiful place to completely chill out and relax! Xx

A long overdue catch up!

10.7.16

I can't believe it has been about 6 months since I last put a blog post up!

I have been so busy with work / studying / life and the time just ran away with me, so I think a bit of a catch up is long overdue.

Lately I have been:

  • Reading Cherry Healey's new book - Letters to my fanny. As always I'm not very good at reading, I don't allocate myself enough time for this!

  • Wearing Jeans and jumpers because its raining and then boiling in 20 odd degree heat. Dam you UK weather.

  • Visiting places around the countryside, William and I went to a Lavender Farm recently and it smelt SO good.

  • Celebrating William's 30'th birthday. Yummy food, friends and Wine. Awesome!

  • Attending weddings, I love everyone is getting married!

  • Discovering Amsterdam with my little sister. A long weekend away, with amazing food, crazy new experiences and time with Romy. I had such a good time! I'm looking forward to going away with her again some day soon.

  • Planning William and my upcoming trip to the Maldives this September. I am literally beyond excited! We haven't been away together since we visited Iceland last year. This holiday will be completely different to the last, but Im so excited to do nothing for 10 days, eating lots of yummy food, drink cocktails, reading, snorkelling and (fingers crossed) getting a tan in the process. I've always wanted to visit the Maldives, but really never thought it was something I would get to do for a long time. I might even finish a book, or two!

  • Planning my rhinoplasty. This is MASSIVE for me. I have wanted this for SO long, but never had the courage to do it. I have now planned a few potential dates in January, booked some consultations and followed ALL of the Rhino accounts on Instagram. I'm so ready and excited for this!

  • Still studying - I have managed to pass my 1st exam! I have 4 more to go, and I am currently in the process of studying for exam 2. I really hope to have this booked before I go away in September, fingers crossed!

  • Organising my free time better. I let my blog down a bit lately, so I plan on allocating a set amount of time each day to studying, fitness, blogging and reading (and Netflix obvs) hopefully this will work out!

La Semaine 10

7.2.16

So its 1 week later than I planned! But it's been a pretty good two weeks since my last catch up! This is what I have been up to;

  • Admiring the completely awesome sunrises, and clouds in the beautiful sky around Wiltshire.
  • Drinking all of the cocktails and dancing the night away with my lovely friend.

  • Spending time with Bailey and getting some extra exercise into my life!
  • Buying pretty flowers for the house and feeling like Spring might actually be on its way.
  • Visiting some old friends in London for the day, and wandering around Shoreditch for the first time.
  • Spending time with the cutest cats ever at the London Cat Village and wanting all of the cats!
  • Still reading my book - Follow you home. Yep, I'm truly the slowest ready ever.
  • Treating myself to some new bits from Clinique, and realising I have lots of boots points to buy something nice with! Happy Days :)
